Following is the foreword for this somewhat peciliar album, entirely inked with marker and printed in 2000 copies:

"That I’m passionate about Comics, it is no longer to be demonstrated. But getting to share this enthusiasm with the population of a neighborhood is another matter. And yet, at the Centre Social du Vermandois, a whole team has mobilized around this project.

For it to appeal to the inhabitants, this comic had to be interactive in the noble sense of the term. Scenario’s ideas where proposed by all, five where retained at first and then finally a single one, after voting, in all democracy. "The 22 thousandth dimension" was born.

Pencils, plates presented in preview for discussion, or even modification. A story that takes place in the neighborhood "today and tomorrow", a sometimes strange vision of our near future, a possibility of identifying the inhabitants with the characters of this album, another image of the neighborhood. In short, an adventure to "live".

The complicity of Alberto Varanda who kindly lent himself to this "ping-pong" with templates and bubbles was precious to us. It also seemed important to us to participate in the "hatching" of a promising St-Quentinois cartoonist, now recognized by his peers. I hope that this collaboration initiated over the last three years will take another... dimension."
